lack of fabric.
So it’s been some time since i last blogged. Been abit caught up with things going on in my life. Nothing appears as it seems. As for those who assume my life is always perfect and a walk in the park the you’re pretty much mistaken. It isn’t. I have my fair share of bad days but the difference is i don’t wear my heart on my sleeve nor just show it to everyone. Still put on the smiley face and go on. But anyways, i don’t intend to get personal here. So something that came across my mind was due to a question a friend asked me. “Do women dress up skimpy due to fashion or by their own decision?”. Here’s my take on it.
You can put the blame both ways. We shall first start off from the take of following fashion. This is the case where you see walking cut outs from videos straight off tv. It’s rather illogical in a country like this to walk out with jackets that can bake you or reinvent a walking sauna and yet another issue is where there’s a lack of fabric which isn’t such a good idea for a place that’s rather conservative.
The other situation is what i’d call attention seekers. Where they’d only dress to get as many looks as they can. Yes it might boost up their self esteem but on the other hand i just dont like the idea of being eye candy and be recognized merely as a dumb blonde? What ever happened to abit of self pride and dignity to show off something much more than skin or maybe something called wits? Funny how the world has evolved from no fabric to where there is and we’re back to square one once again. Ever thought about that?
Well, that’s my take on it. I just find it illogical that we women would rather imitate an icon to dress up rather than use mere common sense to decide. Yes, it’s a common thing where people take first impressions but the idea is to make a good one. Dressing up skimpy doesn’t buy much credit. It’s about how appropriate it should be as in dressing up according to the occasion not just to score how many people stare at you jaws down. Just something that looks good to the eye. Also once again it’s obvious to see how the media influences people to assume that what you see on tv is what you should appear to be.
Dear people, REALITY CHECK!
Thank you for your kind attention.
